Yodoyabashi & Ohebashi Bridge Illumination 2008

Client : Midosuji Avenue Pedestrian Space Review Committee

  Located on Osaka`s main avenue, Mido-suji, are two bridges, Ohe Bridge and Yodayabashi Bridge.  Although the expansion is different, the solid, stately character of each bridge is the same.  From the side roads, the lateral surface of each bridge is illuminated with projection spotlights so any unnecessary light can be cut away and only the length and form of the bridges floats above the water.  The illumination also reflects on the surface of the river to create a relaxing shimmer.
