Dhoby Ghaut Green 2009

Dhoby Ghaut Green is a public project in the heart of the city centre, nestled within a park. It is an amphitheater space meant for the public to use for events, performances and talks. The architecture is a lattice structure of twisted aluminum sheets with a timber canopy. The intention of the lighting scheme is to let the structure glow – by reflecting light off the timber while gently grazing the aluminum profile. In doing so, we avoid having to see light fixtures mounted onto this graceful structure.
