Mikine is a director at LPA Tokyo office. He started his career as an architect and became intrigued by how daylight plays important role in architecture. He joined LPA in 2005 to pursue his passion in engaging lighting as the medium to create an architectural space. He is an associate director at LPA Tokyo office, and is known for his commitment to lighting detail integration to the space. He also researches daylight in lighting design, and explores CG simulations and animation applications as a part of his design communication tools. He graduated from the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Department of Architecture at Meijo University. Notable projects include Singapore City Centre Lighting Master Plan, POTALA PALACE, Peranakan Museum, Shanghai International Finance Centre, Lighting up our City Centre Exhibition, Hamarikyu Intercity, Aman Tokyo , ‘Minna no Mori’ Gifu Media Cosmos, Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, CITIC Ruibo, W Suzhou, Nihombashi Mitsukoshi, and THE MIXC SHENZHEN . He is an associate member of IALD.
