One toilet in the public bathroom projects, “THE TOKYO TOILET.” Following the designer’s inspiration, “We are all the same in the sense that we are all different,” a screen of LEDs on the northside of the bathroom is programmed with 79 billion different operation sequences. During the day, various shades of green simulate sunlight filtering through foliage. At night, the screen changes to white light, simulating moonlight and fireflies, and continuously sending a message to the people.
