Located in a nature park, this art museum has a permanent exhibit hall featuring the work of local artists and a multi-use exhibit hall for various events. Conceived as a new kind of cultural facility, the museum sponsors not only art exhibits but lectures and workshops, concerts, and a variety of culturally related events.
Our design theme stressed contrasting day and night light environment with the idea that the museum should also be very active at night.
For the museum’s unique circulation space, the all-important walls are highlighted to smoothly guide visitors through the exhibition space. To ensure the comfort of visitors, a glare-free philosophy permeates the entire design.
In addition, the presence of choreographed blue light at every turn creates a phantasmagoric nightscape at twilight time.
