ION Orchard 2009

This is a multipurpose commercial facility built at a prime location on Singapore’s famous Orchard shopping street. The building’s podium and most distinctive feature is a striking organically curved glass façade that at night projects the media art of local artists. To both preserve the view inside and outside the facility and beautifully present the media art, we painstakingly worked out the positioning and details for the glass facade louvers and the LEDs installed in them. In sharp contrast to the imposing presence of the large canvas, we proposed a design that conveys slow and gentle natural phenomena and crafts an artistic and refined look for the Orchard district.
