This facility next to JR Chino Station is a center for local cultural and creative activities. This complex including two auditoriums, an art museum, library, and an event space is noteworthy for being part of the station building itself.
The glass enclosed space next to the station is a library and studio. Sunny and open during the day, the character of the space dramatically reverses at night when the white ceiling is silhouetted in the night sky. The ceiling is completely free of lighting fixture. Uniform uplighting that seems to come from nowhere transforms the building itself into a colossal lighting fixture.
