The Regent Singapore, an iconic building originally designed by John Portman in 1982 and now rebranded as Conrad Singapore Orchard, has undergone significant renovations. The revamp aims to modernize its offerings while preserving the timeless charm of its interior spaces. The lighting design complements the cascading atrium’s striking architecture with a warmer color palette, evoking the nostalgia of the building’s heritage. The project transitions from traditional lighting sources to high-efficiency LED, carefully maintaining the original classic color quality of the lighting. Given the building’s age, the lighting strategy prioritizes minimal alterations to the existing electrical infrastructure, ensuring a seamless integration of modern technology with the building’s historic character.
