Set to open in March 2025, this open and spacious art museum faces the expansive Omido Temple Ruins in Kurayoshi City. Central to the museum is a large hall, or hiroma, a warm and inviting space featuring a striking wooden louvered ceiling illuminated to highlight its architectural beauty. This versatile space is designed to host a variety of activities. The museum is also equipped with a wall-mounted lighting system, allowing displays beyond the traditional exhibition rooms. Kurayoshi City is designated as a starry sky conservation area, so the museum’s lighting plan carefully considers light pollution and the surroundings.
