Misuzu joined LPA in 2010 and she is a senior associate at LPA Tokyo office. While studying architecture in Tokyo, she had a chance to stay in Paris on an exchange program and was impressed by nightscape of the city. That experience led her to study the history of urban lighting and the comparative analysis of nightscape of cities.Misuzu master’s degree thesis was on the nightscape of Tokyo. With her strong educational background, she has been pursuing the creation of nightscape with light. Notable projects include Lighting Masterplan for Nagasaki City, ‘Minna no Mori’ Gifu Media Cosmos, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, Halekulani Okinawa, Takanawa Gateway Station, JR Nagoya Gate Tower, msb Tamachi, Yanagawa City Masterplan. She holds Master of Engineering degree from the School of Engineering of the University of Tokyo, majoring in Architectural Design and Lighting Environment. She holds the License of Architects/Building Engineers in Japan, and is an associate member of IALD.
