Yumi joined LPA in 2010 and is a senior associate at LPA Tokyo office. With her great understanding of architecture, she enjoys collaborating with architects to complement their superb design and to solve technical challenges. In addition, she is also actively engaged in researching and proposing how lighting can provide support during natural disasters and the post–disaster environment. She holds a Master of Architecture Design degree from the Graduate School of Engineering at University of Tokyo. She has been involved in a wide range of projects such as Iidabashi Grand Bloom & Park Court Chiyoda Fujimi, The Temple House Chengdu, JR Chiba Station, Mt.Fuji Heritage Centre, Shizuoka, guntu, KAI Beppu, and Odawara San-no-Maru Hall. She is an associate member of IALD.
