Built in a tropical climate, this architecture, termed “bio-climatic”, is composed of two blocks connected by an indoor-outdoor atrium and a façade with large, sunshade overhangs. As an ecologically built community structure, detailed calculations to conserve energy were a main component of the design, but as a new city landmark, sensitivity was also placed on illumination of the exterior.
