St. Joseph’s Church 2022

St. Joseph’s Church is one of the oldest Catholic churches in Singapore that has been gazetted as a national monument since 2005. The church features its Manueline grandeur with carved ornamentation, tile works and stained glasses. The lighting for the church accentuates the timeless character of the building as a place of worship and heritage gem with appropriate brightness and contrast. For the church interior, simple linear uplight and spotlight were chosen to focus on the series of small altars, statues, and heritage features. All interior lighting is connected to a lighting control system and various lighting scenes were created according to the operational needs of the church.
