Built in 1933, Isetan Shinjuku has been renovated six times to its present appearance and is registered as a historical landmark of Tokyo. The façade lighting was renewed as part of the façade renovation and created a new face for Shinjuku while inheriting the history. Lighting to detailed relief, uplights with color temperatures choreographed to the seasons, and a gradation of light painting the entire building creates a façade with tradition in a stately manner.
